Writing from the Womb~ Upcoming Writing Workshop!

Beloved Writers!

There are a few more seats left – workshop starts this Sunday, June 16th.

I am incredibly excited to be preparing for our upcoming Writing from the Womb Workshop! Our last workshop was a huge success—ten women wrote 20+ pages of original writing.

Women Writing from the Womb is a six-week writing workshop designed to release the story from within.

In a loving, nurturing and sacred space, each week we will delve deeper into our stories, our characters, our writer’s life and ourselves. During the last two weeks of workshop each writer will have an opportunity to share her story and receive feedback as we move towards completion.

Writing is a solitary act that requires discipline, not the kind of harsh discipline where we punish ourselves for not writing a certain scene or exploring a particular character. Its not the kind of discipline where we self-deprecate because we didn’t finish our book this year. The discipline I am talking about here is seeing our writing as our craft. It is about understanding that our story is important, that we are important and where we understand that we are disciples of our craft.

As writers we must write because this is how we grow.

As writers we must write because this is how our stories are preserved and are passed down.

As writers we must write because writing is like breathing… it is the blood in our veins… it is the very heartbeat in our chest.

As writers we understand that writing can save lives and heal wounds.

As writers we write from the WOMB because it is here where we allow ourselves to really delve into the deepest parts of ourselves and where our stories will be born.

This workshop is designed for:

§ Women who are ready to write their stories

§ Women who have allowed fear to paralyze them and would like support in moving forward anyway

§ Women at all levels of writing (published & unpublished)

§ Women writing all genres (fiction, non-fiction, poetry, playwriting, erotica, self-help and etc.)
