Becoming Vulnerable 30 Day Writing Challenge ~ Day 4

Good morning dreamers!

I am sitting by the window as the sun rises and the birds are communing. Today I am off to a dear friends wedding. I remember my first spiritual wedding to myself, it was 2004. This is when I believe I started to pick up the pieces of my life. The me then…

The me then was a mess. I was completely depressed… Just going back in time…

Forget that…

When I was packing that house… Just throwing shit in trash bags. My affairs weren’t in order. An order to things…

Ewwwww going back there.

I just want to think about today. I want to continue to plan. I want to continue to create. I want to continue to move. This is my intention… To continue moving. As I move in the direction of my dreams I know the universe will conspire.

Take a deep breath… sit somewhere comfortable… don’t think about it… allow what comes up to guide you. We will start with a warm-up, set your timer for 2 minutes:

Warm-up prompt: AS I WAKE TODAY… (BEGIN!)

Deep breath– release…

Day 4 prompt: AT THE MENTION OF THE WORD…? (Set timer for 6 minutesBEGIN!)

At the mention of the word…

How did that feel? Tell me about the process…

There is no right or wrong way to do the prompts. They can be written in the form of prose or poetry, 1st person or 3rd, in the voice of your main character or villain… the point is to write… to keep writing… to stay with me and not give up.

I look forward to reading your responses.

My loves… this is a shared writing community. Please know that what one of us is experiencing someone else might be. You never know who you can inspire with just your words.

Please share your responses to the 30 Day ~ Becoming Vulnerable Writing Challenge in the comment section below.

I will post my prompt response when I return.

Wishing you all the most beautiful day filled with love, light and continual inspiration.

And so it is. Namaste. Aché

With all my love,

  1. Warm up prompt: As I wake today… I wake with a slight headache as if I have a hangover except I have not had anything to drink. I am awake and I feel good. I am ready for one of my best friends weddings. Today is a special day… Her day. It is important to be there for the people you love. Today my wish for her is that her marriage bring her joy. That it bring her peace and all that she desires. And so it is.

Prompt 4: At the mention of the word FAITH… It can either bring me happiness or absolute frustration.

    Have faith.
    Keep the faith.
    Put your faith in…
    Hold onto faith.
    With faith…
    Don’t let go of faith.

And all of this faith… Sometimes it’s faith in the invisible Oftentimes it’s blind faith. Most times it’s faith when there’s nothing else. But even having all this faith we seem to always want proof. It’s almost like there’s some reward we’re waiting for because we have all this faith.

Then there’s faith just for having it. I know two people like this. Two women in my life who show me faith in ways I only dream of mastering and standing in. I pray to be in a place where I don’t expect anything for the faith I have … I no longer want to expect anything because this is what has led to my disappointments. This word faith is not only something that was instilled by my childhood religion but it is at my very core. This faith is just another word for BELIEVING… For believing in things. Believing in me. Believing in what will be. And so it is. END TIME

  2. Day 4

    Warm-up prompt: AS I WAKE TODAY… (BEGIN!) – 2 minutes

As I wake today, I promise to be kinder to myself. I promise to love myself more. Self-care and self-love are absolutely necessary, as we are living in a world that is drenched in negativity. I promise to caress my skin and say the words “I love you” when I wake.

Day 4 prompt: AT THE MENTION OF THE WORD…? (Set timer for 6 minutes–BEGIN!)

At the mention of the word water, my skin begins to yearn for the nearest ocean, lake, or stream. Its movement lulls me. Its coolness soothes me. It is in bodies of water where I feel closest to the universe, where I can hear the voice of God. Water for me is synonymous with clarity, as I am able to think through the deepest of thoughts without the weight of indecisiveness and fear. Water has been to kind to me, cleansing me of any impurities and helping me find peace. At the mention of the word water, I think of life, goodness, and happiness.

    1. This is wonderful. I love how kind to yourself you are… water does cleanse… and love always wins over negativity. I always wonder why we allow for negativity to overpower and affect us when love feels so much better??? I say that by setting the intention you have in your warmup… this is the best form of self love. ❤
