Becoming Vulnerable 30 Day Writing Challenge ~ Day 26:
Its the day after my birthday and I am sitting in front of this keyboard thinking about all of the LOVE I experienced and felt yesterday. I was surrounded by the most beautiful people. I was so lost in watching them all interact with each other that I forgot to ask them all to tell me one thing they must release… one thing they are grateful for and one wish they desire (its never too late, so I am asking them today?
One thing you must release…
One thing you are grateful for…
One deepest desire for your life…
Don’t think about it… what’s the first thing that comes to mind?
Yesterday my beloved comadre, Vanessa Martir facilitated a writing exercise around the idea of HOME… what home means… when home is not safe… the ghosts that reside… and it was heavy… it was powerful… it completely exhausted me… so much that I didn’t finish writing. I honored what my heart required… it required me to move away from the subject and re-visit was rises. Today I am thinking about all of the ghosts… what I was left with… and the ghosts that still reside. Thank you my beloved sister for the discomfort.. it is necessary.
So today’s prompts are about HOME!!!
Take a deep breath… sit somewhere comfortable… don’t think about it… allow what comes up to guide you. We will start with a warm-up, set your timer for (5 minutes):
Warm-up prompt (5 minutes): IN MY HOME THE GHOSTS THAT RESIDE… (BEGIN!)
Deep breath– release…
Day 26 prompt: WHAT HOME HAS TAKEN FROM ME… (Set timer for (10 minutes each prompt)–BEGIN!)
10 minutes… What home has taken from me…
10 minutes… When home is not safe…
10 minutes… What home has given me…
