As I wake up this morning I feel rested. I feel super at peace. I have a wonderful piano playlist as my background setting the tone for what I want to experience during my writing session. Today is about maintaining this sense of calm. There are some things rising for me…
There is a story…
Actually, there are many stories… this morning I am thinking about the 20 pages I want to submit for workshop. I am thinking about writing retreats. I am thinking about research for my story. I spent all of yesterday watching the most incredible films. #ALLINTHENAMEOFRESEARCH
What’s rising for me… are my dreams. How I seem to be dreaming about my life as I am living it. I’m dreaming about the steps I must take… a road map. In my dream I had every prompt ready for this morning’s writing session.
A well thought out plan… this is my meditation.
A well planned out story…
A well planned out scene…
A well planned out story brings you to the end of something… reveals something.
This is what a well written story aims to do… reveal something… it shows us something.
There are so many questions… so many choices to make.
This is what we do as writers… we make choices… we allow ourselves to be led. We surrender to this process!
The more I rise and show up to the page the more this story shows me. So much is unfolding and being revealed to me.
My intention for today is to trust… I am putting my trust in the voices. I am getting it down on the page and as I begin this day I am just staying open.
With all my love,
Alicia
