JOB POSTING: Writing Assistant (Part-time) – NYC

Published author is seeking Writing Assistant/Social Media Wizard for a part-time (paid) position. The Writing Assistant will gain hands-on experience with an established author. You will be responsible for managing blogs and all social media. Research, writing and editing are amongst some of your strongest characteristics.

Working closely with/shadowing the author on the following:

Research and development

Managing social media

Writing and editing

Workload is (6) hours per week, with potential for more. Work will be done at the author’s home office or remotely. There is opportunity for the Writing Assistant to work from home. This position is perfect for an aspiring/emerging writer, poet and artist and ideal for recent college or graduate student.

Qualifications

Experience creating/writing web content (can include personal blog, tumblr, school newspaper, internship and etc.)

Excellent writing and communication skills

Knowledge of Mac and PC applications

Ability to multi-task

Excellent time management skills

Knowledge of all forms of social media (Twitter, facebook, tumblr, instagram, hootsuite and pinterest) and the importance of managing on-line presence

Excellent researcher
