Nepal Trip ~ Day 46: Love them anyway! WELCOME HOME!

Last night I dreamt about my return home. My daughter was there and so many of my closest friends. I snuck away and immediately called my mother who caught me up on all the gossip about my sisters. We laughed about my brother. The woman I love was there.

It was a welcoming…

I came home to a WELCOME HOME PARTY!

Coming home…

I can admit I am kind of scared. It has been nice not having to worry about bills, or life in the United States. It has been nice not to see dirty subways. It has been nice not to see all the homeless with nowhere to go. It has been nice not to have to rush to meet the demands of work and life in New York.

I have seriously considered staying here. Who wouldn’t choose peace over constant stress? But I know I can’t stay forever. I can’t hide anymore. I can’t run anymore. Its time to go home. I do have people who depend on me. I do have people who love me. I do have people who miss me. I do have people who need me. I do have people who want to be around me. I do have a HOME! And I do have ten more days here.

REFLECTION

“When you travel with HOME those who love you are always with you!”

Chandani talked to me today about home and how the transition will be difficult. She offered this advice, “Alicia, you are not the same! People will be resistant and frustrated with this new you. Don’t let them upset you. They may reject you. Don’t let it upset you. Love them anyway!”

People really don’t do well with change. Just love them anyway.

Not every one will be on your journey searching for the things you have been searching for. Love them anyway.

When it feels awkward and the conversation seems strained. Love them anyway.

When you feel misunderstood. Love them anyway.

When what once brought you joy and excitement bores you. Love them anyway.

When you feel baited, challenged or questioned. Love them anyway.

No matter what is happening around you love them anyway.

Remember to forgive. Never forget that WE are your home. We are your Warriors and Sisters of Light. We will always be with you.

And so it is. Namaste. Aché

With all my love,
Alicia
