Day 8 of Agent Search:
Dear Agent,
Yesterday was a good writing day. I was able to write 1 1/2 pages of a new scene. I wrote during my train ride into work. I kept hearing my character whispering a conversation to me. She was in my ear telling me, “I have something I need you to know…” I knew I needed to get it down on the page.
We think that we will remember later, but we never do.
She told me a story about her pain, and it was beautifully sad. I am learning to just listen… to slow it down and allow for her story to unfold. And that voice… she is lovely. She is soft spoken and kind. She is innocent. Her voice sounds like the sweetest love letter.
And so today my writing goal is to simply continue to listen and get it all down.
I WORK! I WRITE! I STAY WITH IT! EVERYDAY I WRITE! AND I AM REMEMBERING TO SLOW DOWN!
