When I look back at that part of my journey the moment my FIRST story was published. I will remember the hours I spent transcribing notes. How I had just over 100 pages. I will remember that the process towards the final draft was long it went from 100 pages, to 60, to 30, to 16, to 9 pages and finally to 3 pages— three pages and 13 drafts later. Yes I will enjoy this moment. I worked my fucking ass off.
This writing thing means so much to me. It has never been about money or fame. For me it’s about sharing the gifts that I’ve been blessed with. Everything that I write is an offering. This writing thing is the only thing I’ve ever wanted to do. WRITING and YOU are the only things that I have wanted to be GREAT at. That moment in my life was one of those moments I will always remember. The first phone call I received was at 5:54am from your Tia Josie. She wanted to shout it from the rooftops. She just expressed how proud she was of me and when we hung up this was what she wrote me, “I’ve never been so proud of you! You freaking worked your ass off and finally we get to see it. You go Afro Latina girl…save the day!” Finding Your Force A Journey To Love, Chapter 26 (pt. 2) is available on SoundCloud FREE – Link in bio.
