Pozdravleniya! поздравления! Congratulations!

We have completed one week on this writing journey together. There is so much to celebrate. We have taken a huge risk venturing so far away from home. We have had plenty to adjust to, a new culture, different languages and customs. One of the things we have had to learn is being ok with the unknown and the unexpected. Shit happens! Even the most well intention plans fall apart. I have readjusted my writing goals for the rest of this trip. I am working on my novel and staying here. Focused. Committed. Driven.

Sometimes new ideas creep in and they are great ideas the kind of idea that makes us want to stop what we’re working and run with it putting the old ideas by the wayside. Yet there is something fulfilling about finishing what we begin. And so, as we enter our 2nd week, Day 8 the journey is going to get rougher. We are stepping up our game. We are writing longer days. These last two weeks we are committed to spending the remaining days really digging deep into our stories.

C2C
1. We are spending two nights in Ulan-Ude
2. Five hours of writing daily from this point forward.
3. Email check in/update/love letter to someone back home.

Writing prompts:

1. My observations on this trip…
2. How can I use the people I’ve met, personality traits, characteristics and conversations and interweave them in my story?
3. What can I steal from this setting and use in my story?

Writing time: everyday we will block at the very least 5 hours of writing time for our projects. Please send me an update on your progress. Where are you getting stuck? How can I support you? Email me the subjects you are writing about and I will provide prompts that tie into your needs.

Love,
Iyawó
