Little Girls ~ Ep. 367

Today I am questioning what it is we actually care about! I am meditating on little girls… little girls are who I write for. When I came out as a writer I was writing for my little girl, and for the little girl in me. I knew I was writing for little girls in order to save the little girl in me who was locked in closets. This meditation comes after watching the docuseries, “Surviving R Kelly” how do things in the news impact your writing. For me the personal is political!

What do you care about?
Who do you care about?
What is the work you want to do? and why?
Why is it important?
What do you want to build?
What do you want to dismantle?
What do you want to change?
What do you want to connect to

I am thinking about little girls… the safety of little girls. Little girls need us to protect them they need us to speak up for them.

Writing prompts/writing meditation:
What I care about is…
What I know I must write…
What can no longer live inside of me…
I am called to…
I am committed to writing about…
In writing xyz I free myself of…
My intention for today…

MY INTENTION for today is to sit with everything that I am feeling and to hit send – #submissionsundays

Wishing you peace, love and prosperity!
